Client & Scale

North West London Pathology (NWLP), one of the UK’s largest NHS pathology networks, supports six laboratory locations and provides diagnostic services across a large and complex healthcare population. The organisation was advancing a digital hematology strategy with Scopio X100 and X100HT analyzers.

The Problem

NWLP was implementing Scopio digital morphology technology but faced a major integration challenge. No existing Sunquest Instrument Manager (SIM) driver was available for Scopio, requiring a new integration pathway that could support automated workflows, reliable result exchange, and practical laboratory usability across multiple sites.

The Solution

JTG worked with NWLP, Clinisys™, and Scopio to design and develop the first Sunquest Instrument Manager driver for Scopio integration. The solution enabled communication between systems, supported testing and validation activities, improved workflow automation, and aligned the integration with real-world hematology operations.

Contribution

JTG provided Sunquest expertise, integration development, workflow optimisation, and cross-vendor coordination throughout the project. By authoring the SIM driver, resolving technical challenges, and guiding implementation activities, JTG helped NWLP successfully deploy Scopio while reducing manual processes and increasing the operational value of digital morphology technology.
